Gray...With A Little Lemon In It!

Gray sometimes needs a little lemon in it, doesn't it?!... :-)...I know it 'does' when gray is preceded by a rain-filled sky like we had this morning...Yep! Rain, rain, wind, and more rain. That's what's happening in the backyard this morning.
This is 'sorta kinda' good news for the backyard though, because YAY!!...it got rid of the snow! I can actually see the soggy lawn!! ^_^ ... Of course I also can see my bird feeder swinging in the wind like it's about to be a missile that's gonna take off...soooo...*blink! blink!*...therein lies the 'sorta kinda' of what kind of news it is! ^_^

Speaking of news!...Lemon Gray news I mean!...One of my crochet necklaces made another treasury!...a treasury entitled 'lemon gray'! :-) ...

Thank you for including it, Stefania! :-)

One of the other items that was also included in the treasury, and that will help me tell you my feelings about it, is this...

:-) ... It helped take some of the gray out of my morning sky. :-]

Something else that took a little of the gray out of my morning sky this morning was my crazy/funny husband! LOL A simple conversation about the Super Bowl game this morning went places that made me wanna pee my britches and shoot water right out of my nose!!! LOL...And no...I 'CANNOT' share it with you....sorry. ^_^ But suffice it to say, my gray went a little lemony right on the spot!! :-] ...Lemony, as in it brightened up my day. :-] ...What were 'you' thinking?!... (tsk! tsk!) :-)
I can share something else with you that came from my husband though!...I can share a photo of the tuna casserole he made the other night! :-) ...

It's hard to make tuna casserole 'LOOK' good! But if I tell you that it had a little lemon and sharp cheddar cheese, a little bread crumb and peppers...does that help?! :-) ...

And while it might not appeal to everybody, I loved the buttered baked potato he made with it too! YUM!!...Now today I'm sending him on a run for some chicken wings to make for the 'Big game' before they all run out! I hear there's a shortage this year. O_O What would a Super Bowl football game be without chicken wings?!!...I know.....Gray! :-]

Okay...I'm off! I actually have some shipments to get out!! :-) So far the shipping prices aren't running everybody off!! LOL...Have a good day, Everybody!...Make it lemony!! :-)

What do YOU talk about?

What do YOU talk about
when you don't have much to say?
A short phrase about the weather?
Or the 'fine'-ness of the day?

Do you ask: "How do you do?",
hoping they won't say a thing?
Or just say: "Call me tomorrow",
hoping that the phone won't ring?

Do you lend yourself to grins,
and slight noddings of the head,
knowing big smiles and eye contact
would make you committed to what they said?

What do YOU talk about
when your 'talker' is 'on the blink'?
Not hardly much at all.
Certainly not much as you would think!

A Few Other Things To Talk About!

I know!...you thought I was 'all talked out' yesterday! ^_^ Well, any of you who have been here for a while know that me being 'all talked out' is rarely true! LOL But I'm not gonna do 'TOO' much talking today. No worries. I have things on my schedule that I have to get to, so this post will be short and sweet. Well...short and sweet by 'my' standards! :-)
I just wanted to share a few things...like that sweet ring box in the header photo. :-) I love boxes and things with compartments. If it was left up to me I'd probably have a whole house full of boxed up surprises!..."Where is the vacuum cleaner?.....In the box!!!"..."Where is Mr. Wug?...In the tall box next to the bathroom, holding a crochet hook and a dream, in his hand!! LOL"

I also wanted to talk about this cute apple necklace I saw on Etsy!...

I saw it in a shop called OrderlyCivilians...But unfortunately, or fortunately for the person that bought it, it's sold already...I love all of the detail! It almost looks like a real small apple! :-)
But guess what?!...The red one is gone, but she has a green Granny Smith version that's still in the shop! :-) ...

It never ceases to amaze me the amount of creative talent there is on Etsy!! :-)

Unfortunately, speaking of talking about something, our creative energies are being stifled a bit now...by the wildly increased shipping prices at the Post Office!! It hurt my heart yesterday to have to finally 'up' my shipping charges in my shop :-(
It's been something I've been putting off for a while, even though I could feel the gradual increase almost every day...because I usually, thanks to my boutonniere business, ship daily lately...But when I shipped a scarf the other day it cost me almost $9.00!! Before it was around $5.00. And that was shipped "in" the country...I hesitate to think what it would have cost me to ship it out of the country!! O_O
It appears that the overseas shipping rates are ridiculous!! In some cases 2 or 3 times higher!! O_O I'd be charging more for shipping than for the actual item!..*shaking my head* :-( ...Oh Well, this may be the end of my little online venture. We'll just have to wait and see...I still don't have my shipping prices up high enough. I'm gonna try to hold on to my customers for as long as I financially can!...I mean, I sold this one last night...

...so, at least one customer is holding in there with me! ^_^ He even said that if it suits him...."suits him"...get it? ^_^ ...he'll be back for more!...Apparently my new shipping price didn't phase him at all!..."Do you hear that, potential customers?!!!...I'm still open for business!!" :-)

The last thing I wanna talk about today is FOOTBALL!!!!! :-)

It is 'T' minus 4 more days, and counting, till kick-off time. YAY!!!!!!! :-) And if you don't know 'kick-off time to what?'...it's the Super bowl!!! ;-) ... Football, baby!!! ^_^

     The San Francisco 49ers...

...against the Baltimore Ravens!! :-) ...Get some popcorn for those boxes!!! ;-)

Yes, tennis...the Australian Open...is done. But somehow....and I'm thankful!...there's always some other sport on to keep my attention! :-) This coming Sunday it will, without a doubt!, be football...the Superbowl!!
Over the last few days it's been basketball and figure skating too! ^_^ What can I say. I'm multi-task-able!...I can crochet, think up a poem, eat, talk, and watch sports all at the same time! ^_^ I think it's a good thing there's lots of sports...and lots of people to talk to...to go around!! ^_^

Okay...this talking session is over! ^_^ Have a good day, Everybody!!

 I Like To Talk

I like to talk;
I like to gab;
I like a girlfriend
free confab!

I like to chat;
I like to speak;
I find that words
are what I seek.

I like the chatter
of a crowd;
Not in a whisper,
but out loud.

But, please no talking
while you chew.
{Speaking does
have manners too!}

I like the noise
that utterance does.
The constant
conversation buzz.

Maybe I need a
word-free diet;
No! I could not
withstand the quiet!

So, I will talk;
Oh yes! I'll dabble
in a constant
lingo babble.

I just Needed To Tell Somebody About....!

Some things catch your attention so completely that you just need to tell somebody about them! That's what this post is for...Things I just need to tell somebody about!!...and today that 'somebody'...is you! ^_^
The first thing I needed to tell somebody about was this clay architecture set in my header photo! I don't even know why I'm feeling the need to talk about it, except that the colors are so pretty...and I'm thinking about putting more pastel-type colors in my Wuglyees shop....and it reminded me of the little buildings from my home town of Georgia...and it reminded me of how I'm feeling so old these days, and more aware that I don't have a little girl to play with little pastel colored houses! :-]

I also needed to tell somebody about the visitor to my backyard yesterday. We had a light snowfall coming down, and who comes trotting through my backyard?!...

...a fox!! O_O ... And not a pretty fox, like the one on the bracelet (above). No, he looked haggard and mangy. His fur looked like it had chunks taken out, and his tail?....WOW! It literally looked like the way a poodle's tail looks after it comes from the groomer!...like number three (from left to right) on this rubber stamp below...

It was long, with no hair AT ALL on most of it, and then a puff of hair at the end!! O_O He must've gotten it caught in something...or SOMETHING!! But let me tell you...it was a strange sight to be seeing in my backyard yesterday!!

I also need to tell somebody about "Downton Abbey" this week!...WOW!!! It was so good! Well...good, in a 'good show' kinda way. But not good, in a 'look what happened!' kinda way! I'm not gonna get into too much detail just in case you haven't seen it yet, but let me just say...THAT DOCTOR MADE ME SOOOO MAD!...the visiting doctor I mean. Not the family doctor. I mean, how do you come to someone's home where you don't REALLY know the people, and just make a diagnosis like that, and then INSIST that you're right?!!!! Ugh
Needless to say, I KNEW he was gonna be wrong! I mean...the patient was delusional! She thought she was at work...but she was laying in her bed at home having labor pains!...Pregnant women have a lot of pain during labor. A LOT!!!...but they don't forget who and where they are during labor, do they? O_O ...HELLO!!!... Maybe it's just me!
I know!...You're saying: "Why are you getting so excited about a television show, Wug?" ^_^ ... Well, I think this particular situation on Downton Abbey fed into my experiences with doctors!...UGH!...Some doctors...SOME doctors!...behave as if they're the 'end all to be all' when it comes to your treatment!...I've been on the receiving end of some of those doctor's diagnoses!!...and I've also been there when some of those doctors have been offering treatment for some of their patients that I was taking care of!....UGH!
Anyway! It's, thankfully, just a tv show...because the patient on Downton Abbey didn't make it! :-( It was a total surprise twist to the story for me!....Now I can't wait to see what happens next week! ^_^ ... Yeah, I'm fickle like that!!...and I just had to tell somebody about it! LOL

Lastly, the scarf! Hubby's scarf...which he says he's gonna finish by Friday! O_O ...Okayyyyyyy!...

His stitches are still uniform...SHOCKING! :-)

  And it's getting so long!!

I'm very proud of him. :-)

...And I just had to tell somebody about it...besides him I mean. :-))

There's a couple of other things I could tell you about, but the fact is...that's what tomorrows are for!! ^_^ Have a good day, Everybody!!

The Fact is....

The fact is...I love peaches!
I can put them anywhere!
On top of pie and ice cream,
and one day...a style for hair!

The fact is...I love laughing!
But not the judging, pointing kind.
Not laughing at the other guy,
but to de-stress, relax, unwind.

The fact is...I am quirky!
No one knows this more than me.
But I'm also thoughtful, loving,
and just oozing sympathy.

The fact is...I'm a reader,
...and a writer. That's a fact!
I read my Bible faithfully,
and write to share all that.

The fact is...I love people!
But I love my time alone.
I love a giggle by myself
or giggling on the phone!

The fact is...I'm a girl.
And a woman, sister, wife.
A fact that makes me happy with
my husband, friends and life!

Green...In Treasuries And In Marriage!

Happy Monday, Everybody!...or is it Tuesday where you live?! ^_^ Whatever the case, Happy, Happy!! :-) Let's make the beginning of this week get off to a good start, shall we!...I'm gonna do my part. I'm gonna share my weekend happiness with you! :-)
My weekend happiness has to do with a well thought out conclusion I came to over the weekend. It has to do with marriage...I even wrote a new poem about it. It's at the end of this post....NO!...I don't want you to scroll down there yet!!! LOL...First let me share something else that made me happy this weekend!...

My little crochet necklace was chosen for a cute treasury full of my favorite color...green! :-)

       Happy, happy! :-)

And here are a couple of my favorite items from the treasury, besides the earrings in the header photo I mean...

Now...the happy conclusion I came to over the weekend is that I'm happy to be a long time married person! ;-) ... I wouldn't go back to being a short time married person if you paid me!!!
I'm not gonna get into the particulars, but let me just say...newly married people have so much energy!...passion!...emotion!...anxiety!...anxiousness!....Aargh! LOL...Of course they, being short time married people, think it's great! They don't see anything wrong with all of that 'what-are-we-gonna-do-next? Where-are-we-gonna-go-now?' energy!...but as long time married people, hubby and I get tired just watching them navigate the world! LOL
It's sometimes hard for hubby and I to believe that we used to be like that! We used to bounce from event to event, gathering to gathering...we used to get very upset at the slightest seeming sideways comment...we used to celebrate everything as an anniversary {the anniversaries of our first kiss, our first hand-hold, our first car ride, our first long talk, etc...}...we used to think that no one on the planet loved each other as much as we loved each other! ugh!...we were sickening!!! ^_^
I was reminded of all of that angst this weekend....and reminded how thankful I am that we're not back in it anymore!!! ^_^ ... All due respect to newly married people. We 'do' get it! You love each other!!! And we're so happy to see true love in the world, but WOW!!! We can't wait to see what you're like at year ten...or twenty!...when you finally realize that just because your husband doesn't finish your every word, or your wife doesn't wanna fix your favorite dish at every meal, that doesn't mean that your love is dying!...ugh! LOL
At 30 plus years hubby and I are more deeply in love than we ever were! But I still don't think his toenails are cute, and he doesn't love the way I smell early in the morning....Shoot us! LOL...Making sure we hold hands when other people are around is not a priority, and making sure we never argue about ANYTHING is not even close to being what we aspire to! Sometimes an argument is necessary!...We just don't get into calling names or bringing each other's 12-toed relatives into it!! LOL
As I said...Ahhhhh! The Happiness!!....I was never so happy to see a Monday come!!! LOL...Have a Happy Monday, Everybody!...And you short time marrieds....bring it down a notch for us old timers, will ya!! ^_^

The Long and Short Of It

Long time marriage is not the same as
those just married for a year.
Short time marriages are fearless.
An easier said: "I'm outta here!"

Long time marriages are fearful,
but not of who is gonna leave.
They're more fearful of cleaned closets,
and what clothes their spouse will heave.

Short time marriages are passion filled.
Everything is 'do or die'!
Anniversaries are epic,
usually a feasting for the eye.

Long time marriages are quieter.
Life's a journey. Not a ride.
Their mate's faults, inconsequential.
But their stories, deep and wide.

Short time marriages 'Go! Go! Go!'
Always planning what's next to do.
An excited bride is always learning,
and the groom is learning how to please his 'boo'.

Long time marriages are more settled.
there is nowhere they 'HAVE TO' be.
And if someone else thinks so,
just try to 'Make 'Em' and you'll see!

Don't get me wrong, there's clearly love
in both the short and the long of it.
But the way that they approach it?
Yeah, it varies quite a bit.

Short time lovers, and their in-laws,
wonder how it's gonna go.
Long time lovers know that wonder,
like their in-laws, ebb and flow.

Short time marrieds, always seeking,
feel everything is on the line.
Long time marrieds know they'll make it,
and are just seeking where next to dine!

Breakfast Pancakes...AND Coffee...Sunday!

I don't have much to say today....and stop clapping! ^_^ But I'm not feeling my best this morning. I think my body is fighting something because I'm unusually achy, headache-y and tired. In other words, I DEFINITELY need to add some coffee to the pancake breakfast today!! Maybe it'll help my eyes open and get this 'hitch' out of my 'get-along'!! ^_^
Here's a cup of coffee for YOU too!...just in case your left eye is still not open! :-) ...

Oh Yeah!...I also have some other pancakes and coffee to share with you!...but not pancakes and coffee for eating and drinking......sorry. :-)) These are pancakes and coffee for wearing!...

You can wear them on your hand (above)...

.....OR you can wear them on your ears (below)...

If it's all the same to you......I'm gonna put mine in my stomach this morning! :-)) I need some fuel to get me going!...Hmmmm...I also wonder if  pancakes and coffee are able to be made into a pillow?!...because I also could use a little 'nappy-poo'! ^_^ I watched the last two sets of the Australian Open early this morning....Congratulations to Novak Djojovic, by the way!!...and I didn't sleep good prior to waking up for that. It's been like that for a few days now....Ugh!
So I could use another couple of hours...at least...this morning!...Hopefully having pancakes and coffee on my tummy aren't gonna disrupt my sleep! O_O ....Nahhhhhhh!

Thankfully I'm not gonna have as much trouble getting my breakfast as my little birdies in the backyard too!...

Poor little babies! :-( Watching them feels like watching someone, with a butter knife and a dream, try to get their eight year frozen beef roast out of the deep freezer! LOL They chisel away for what seems like hours only to get a 'little bitty' piece off!! But they seem ecstatic when it comes off!!!! ^_^ ...sorta like my husband when he finishes yet another row of the scarf he's crocheting! ^_^

Okay...before I go, let me show you the photo that was sent to me by one of my customers. He bought the crochet boutonniere he's showing off with his suit from my Wuglyees shop! :-) ...

I think it looks so cool! :-) And I love that he shared the photo with me!!...As I always say: I love my customers!! :-) ...By the way, if anyone is interested, I have another one of this particular boutonniere in the shop right now....just saying. :-)) You can find it HERE.
And I'm off!...to eat and take a nap! :-) (My meeting at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses isn't until this afternoon...and I wanna be awake and alert!! ^_^)...Have a good day, Everybody, and maybe clean out the refrigerator! LOL

 Refrigerator Door

The refrigerator door is the place
 for love's display of your children's face;

For a watercolor hand, with the lines drawn on;
and a sticky grocery list, for a dinner long gone.

For some magnets with the words "Love" and "Life",
and a cutesy little note, meant just for your wife.

For reminders of the schedule you need to keep,
or a coupon for some soap, you can get real cheap.

For a calendar, comics, and a business card;
'Take-out' menus and a flower from the yard.

For post cards and bills that we need to pay,
and Oh Yeah! There's fingerprints there EVERY day!

So what's on your refrigerator door?
No doubt your life! What else would it be for?!

Lights....Camera...Hook....Ball....and Eye!!

No surprise as to what I'm gonna talk about this morning, right?! ^_^ The Australian Open is almost over. There's only one more championship match to play...Novak Djokovic versus Andy Murray. That match will be tonight. Or should I say in the morning...because we'll get the match at 3 a.m in the morning!
3 a.m. was what time I was awake this morning to see Li Na...

        ...versus Victoria Azarenka...

(The photos of the match are all from the Australian Open page on Facebook --> HERE.)

What a good...wild...wacky....match it was too!...An ankle sprain, a head whack with question of a concussion, a ten minute delay for fireworks, and a boo-ing crowd! O_O Wild.....wacky!
But the tennis was fabulous!!....Let me just say right now that if you don't wanna know who won........click away from the page NOW! ^_^ ...It's what one of the female commentators would affectionately refer to as "Big Babe Tennis!"...In other words, two heavy hitting, talented female players whacking away at the ball! :-)
Oh! The angles!.....Oh! The power!....Oh! The unexpected!! O_O It went three sets, and the whole time you could've held your breath! Sooooo good!...except when Li Na fell and twisted her ankle, and then later in the match...she fell again!, seemingly to avoid twisting the other ankle...and ended up whacking the back of her head on the court!! O_O
Li Na won the first set. Victoria Azarenka won the second. But in the end...

...Azarenka took home the trophy! :-) Congratulations to Victoria!!

Truth be told...she wasn't hubby and my pick. We really wanted Li Na to win...Not because we didn't think Victoria Azarenka was talented...because she clearly is! But because we like the talent and personality of Li Na.
Even through a twisted ankle, and a whack on the head, Li Na was still fighting and smiling. She was even smiling during the doctor's examination of her on the court after she whacked her head! The doctor had her following his finger with her eyes and she just started laughing and smiling. :-) How can you not like that?...especially considering how much stress a situation like that can cause!
Anyway!..."Maybe next time Li!!! :-) You're so talented that we know you'll be back!!"

In other news...we still have lights and power. YAY!!! ^_^ Clearly we do...because I'm here talking to you and not suffocated behind my C-Pap machine!! LOL...All jokes aside though, I feel sorry for the people in the area that have lost power...some of them for days!..and with us having such cold temperatures too! It was eleven degrees (Fahrenheit) this morning!! Brrrrrr!...Bundle up and put on your 'long Johns' everybody!!

And last for today...an update on hubby's crocheted scarf! :-)

His speed is not that great, but as you can see...his technique is still good! :-)

But even for a slow crocheter, he's coming along nicely...don't you think?! :-) ...

He says he's even gonna put fringe on it!! :-) ... Ambitious!!...But I'll be sure to show it to you when and if it happens! Count on it! ^_^ ... In the meantime, I'll keep encouraging his wonderful breakfast making abilities...This morning he made me bacon, eggs and grits, orange juice and green tea. YUM! I sure wish I could share it with you! ;-)

Have a good day, Everybody! And I hope the sun is shining brightly...or is about to...where you live too! :-)

Just When You Think...

Just when you think you've got it bad
you see someone that's worse!
You complain: "My aches and pains...",
but some folks need a nurse!

Just when the weather's got you mad
and the snow's too deep to run,
you see the melting everywhere...
You look! and there's the sun!

Just when you think I'll just move on,
and find something else to do,
there's another blog post about snow...
and another poem too! :-]

Sooooo...Let's Talk About Darkness?!

Ah, Yes! This is the kind of darkness I wanna talk about!!... :-) ...dark chocolate in some cookies!! Made to order dark chocolate cookies, with salted and roasted pistachios in them!! YUM!!

Or I could talk about some dark wood earrings!...

These earrings are so slender and nice that they could almost make me look skinny!....Ha! Ha!....Okay, that would be a lot for a pair of earrings to do!! ^_^ No single piece of jewelry should have that kind of workload!..just saying! LOL Let's just let earrings do what they do, and my non-skinny body do what it does!...and 'never the twains shall meet'!! ^_^

Instead of unrealistically trying to make 'my body' look skinny by wearing a pair of earrings, let's talk about something else dark, shall we! :-) Let's talk about dark beads!...

Yep!...We can talk about dark chocolate cookies, earrings or beads, or......we can talk about 'true' darkness. The 'true' darkness hubby and I found ourselves in last night when a whole area of Holyoke went unexpectedly 'lights out'!!! O_O
I'll start the story of what happened by first telling you that if not for my hubby there would probably be 'no' story that "I" would be telling you!!...because I was taking a nap when the power and lights went out! He woke me up to a blaring buzzer going off on my C-Pap oxygen machine, and pitch blackness!! O_O
Good thing he was awake, or else I would've slept...to 'death'!!...which is kinda funny to say now, considering my proclivity to take a nap anywhere and at any time!...^_^....but it was not so funny last night!!
He was so insistent: "Honey, wake up!!!! Take off your mask! The power went off!!!"...He says I started gasping for air while he was trying to figure out what was going on. O_O ...WOW!!!...I guess laying in your bed taking a nap, with your mouth and nose covered by a mask that's leading to a C-Pap machine that's feeding you pressurized air so that you can stay alive, that's suddenly is feeding you NO AIR...is kinda dangerous, huh?!!! LOL...."DUH!!!" LOL
I'm laughing about it because it sounds more serious than I'm sure it would have been. I mean...when the song stopped playing in my head I'm sure I would have woke up! ^_^ ...{For those of you who don't know, that is reference to the fact that I wake up every day with a song or jingle of some kind playing over and over in my head.}...or else I would have finally heard that blaring buzzer. I mean IT was BLARING!!!!...It's funny how when you know that your husband is the one that gets up and turns off the alarms in the house, you can sleep through ANYTHING!...but when you know he's not around, a piece of your own hair blowing past your nose can wake you right up!!! O_O What's that about anyway?!
Anyway!...after we realized that darkness was gonna be our friend for a while, we pulled out the battery operated radio, got our flashlights, and chatted!...And nope!...I can't tell you what we chatted about!! ^_^ It's too silly for the blog. Suffice it to say...two old people with no tennis to watch, and not enough light to crochet by, can be REALLY silly!! LOL
The lights were out less than two hours, and therefore...I'm still breathing this morning after a night of properly pressurized air! :-) LIGHT!....isn't it grand?!! ^_^ ...That's the end of my story, except to say that hubby and I had a kind of pre-emptive 'virtual' date night last night. We were 'virtually' everywhere else but in our room sitting in the dark!! LOL..Today we're just on the hunt for something good to eat!! ^_^ Any suggestions?!
Sorry for all of the wordiness today, Y'all, but stuff was on my wandering mind and I just had to share!...It's not the first time...as you know! ^_^ Have a good day, Everybody!

My Mind Went A Wandering

After barely any sleep,
and dreams I find that I am pondering,
my mind is on a journey,
skipping rocks and out a wandering.

It's acting sorta senile,
like an old lady in her nightie,
barefoot on the highway,
thinking she's all high and mighty.

I'm contemplating platypus
and belly buttons too.
All this while thinking fingernails
are not that good to chew.

It's probably not a good thing
that my head's so far from home.
Especially all uncovered,
and now clearly needing a comb.

Will That Be Paper, Plastic Or Wire?!

I hate starting my post off talking about the weather, but since I don't wanna get into a whole long conversation about how I woke up with an awful headache...and how my C-Pap machine kept loosening up on me throughout the night...and how I didn't sleep well...etc...talking about the weather is a 'safe' conversation starter! :-]
Brrrrr!...It's something like 6 degrees outside, with a wind chill factor of 1!...which means that it may 'feel' like it's 6, but it's really only one degree!!!! LOL...I thought yesterday's weather was cold, but today it's actually colder than it was yesterday!...I'm talking about the same yesterday when my little birdies were chiseling their poor beaks down to nubs trying to get the food from the suet feeder! LOL

If you click on the photos they should enlarge enough for you to see my little chiseling bird visitors. :-) I tried to catch the black and white woodpecker with the little spot of red on his head, and the flaming red cardinal with the black around his eyes, but.....Nope! You get chickadees and wrens if you get anything!! LOL...They get so distracted with the food that they're easy to photograph...*Teehee*
I feel sorry for the poor little 'babies' out in this cold. I wish I had a little birdie grocery store for them, with warmed up food, and a non-frozen section. I'd even be their cashier. :-) ..."Will that be paper or plastic, Mr. Cardinal?!" ^_^ Yes...yes I am being silly! What do you want?! The cold is going to my head!! LOL
     But...moving on...since my 'real' birds aren't that entertaining in their attempted chisel-fest...here's a little paper...bird...for you! :-) ...

...and some paper flowers too! ^_^ ...

What you're reading right now is my mind sorta on a 'stream of consciousness' ride. LOL Because when I saw the paper bird, and paper flowers, I thought about the question the grocery store cashier would always ask...back in the day when they used to bag your grocery for you at the store...and they used to TALK! LOL..."Will That Be Paper or Plastic?!"...*By the way, what's up with the mute cashiers these days anyway?!!...O_O...They practically don't even wanna look at you!!
Although hubby says that the stores around here seem to be on a campaign to talk to their customers all of a sudden!...Kinda disconcerting after all of this time of silence and pointing!!! LOL...Hubby says he saw a sign on one of the cash register counters that asked: "Did we greet you with a friendly 'Hello!'? If not, please tell us because we want your visit to be a pleasurable one!"...Humphf.....makes me suspicious!!! LOL*

Anyway!! ^_^ ...If you don't want paper, how about plastic?!...A plastic bird...

       ...and a plastic flower!...

Now you're probably saying to yourself: "Okay, but why the reference to 'wire'?" ^_^ Well I'll tell ya! LOL...When I was looking through the Etsy search for paper birds and paper flowers, I came across wire birds and wire flowers too! ^_^ ...

I'm sorry!... ^_^ ...This is just how my mind works, people!

And of course, since we're talking about flowers!... ^_^...let me show you my latest ones for my Wuglyees shop!...

They're not online yet, but they probably will be by the end of the day...if I can get rid of this headache enough to wanna be bothered with the whole listing thing!...Maybe some green tea, and a little soft music will help. I'm gonna go and 'hang out'..like I do when I'm not feeling well...and see if it goes away...Have a good day, Everybody! :-]

Hanging Out

I'm hanging out, and eating,
this and that, pick, pick, pick!
There's not much else to do
when you're home and feeling sick.

Listening to some music,
making plans in my head.
Just like a tuna, flipping
back and forth in my bed.

Laughing at the T.V.,
playing scrabble all alone,
Looking at the walls
while I'm chatting on the phone.

I'm hanging out, and waiting
for a change in the weather,
for my cold to go away,
and to feel a whole lot better.

Then it'll be back to work,
and I'll be up and about,
waiting patiently for a day,
when I can just be hanging out!
